Like many major airline companies, Deutsche Lufthansa is badly hit by the Covid19 pandemic. The German flag carrier is leaving the DAX index (GER30) and is joining the ranks of the MDAX index according to the report of MarketWatch.
Deutsche Wohnen, one of the largest real estate companies in Germany, will replace the position of Lufthansa in the DAX index.

Lufthansa’s supervisory board approved the 9 billion euros state-aid stabilization package recently, and its stock price has been surging higher day by day.
The largest German airline will resume flying to more cities. Lufthansa’s stock soared more than six percent last Friday.
